What we love about our Parker Jay:

-ALWAYS says thank you to me for meals, when I help him with anything, new toys or treats, etc. He is such a sweetheart.

-All the babies (nieces, nephews, cousins) LOVE him. He is very patient with all of them.

-He has a great imagination and I often find him acting out different scenes from star wars or Mario or other movies.

-He loves to do his homework! He loves math and reading! I hope it lasts!

-He always finishes his meals and stays up to the table the entire time! Good manners!

I love how far he has come in just over a year and a half! He has grown up so much! (sniff, sniff)

My baby brother returned home from his mission! Fresno Hmong speaking! We were so excited to have him back!!

First time meeting Jace!! Ross loves the babies! It didnt take long for Jace to warm up to him!
Kenzie was 18 months when he left so she barely rememberd him. It took one day then she was always by his side!

He came home to 4 new nephews! So happy he is back!!!

Before the madness of summer starts and we get really behind, I thought I would catch up on the past 4 months!! :)

JACE 4 months old

He LOVES STAR WARS! I never ever thought I would have a child with such an imagination and into characters. Tai sort of skipped that so its been fun to listen to all his sound effects and actions. All day long! :)

Parker at the beginning of the school year absolutely refused to go to school. I took him kicking and screaming LITERALLY (while pregnant) into school. His teacher told me to just leave. I only had to do it once. This boy likes to do things on his terms. (rem potty training?)He loves school now. He's reading and doing math which is his favorite he says. :)

T-MAN

I am so stinking proud of this boy i could burst! Tai was baptized in Nov by his Dad! He is such a good kid with a great spirit about him. He set out a goal to read the Book of Mormon before his birthday and he and Lance did it. They finished the night before his birthday!

Tai loves to do Everything! Wants to be involved in everything! He's an athletic boy and I am getting very excited for the summer to watch him in all of his sports!!

He is still in the Chinese program and speaks amazing Chinese! Better than his Dad! :) His teachers told us at Parent/Teacher Conference that he is an excellent student and friends with everyone in his class and the only area he needs to work on is the talking. :) Wonder who he got that from?? :)
I love that he comes right home from school and does his homework without being asked!

He is such a BIG help to me!!

We sometimes forget this kid is only 8. He is just plain awesome!

As for the other two of us.

We are groovy!! Well Lance spent the night in the ER over a D@%! kidney stone and I might have Mono, but other than that we are GROOVY!!

With these 5 in my life, how could I complain!!!

It all started the night before. Kenzie was up at 3 in the morning with a 103.2 fever. We could not get it to stay down so we took her to the doc. They did a strep throat test and sent us home with a urine bag taped to her to try and get a urine sample.
About 30 min after we were home and had eaten lunch, Lance calls me and said the school nurse just called and they think Tai broke his finger. (He was at Camp) Lance just laughed and said he would be right there. Laugh you say? Yes, cause this is our crazy, though sometimes entertaining life. So he called back the doctor and told them he was coming in again. Kenzie finally peed so he took the urine sample with him.
We he got to Tai, his finger looked like this-

He was running off the playground and tripped right where the the sidewalk starts and just sort of jammed it that way.

I left to meet them at the Doctor. I told Parker to please find a room and just play x-box for the rest of his life. He just laughed at me. :)
At the doctor all the nurses where glad to see us back :) the doc came in and said "Where's the calm family?" We just laughed and said we just aren't really surprised at this, after the year we have been having. We do things the crazy way in our house. She just couldn't believe Lance and I weren't freaking out and why Tai wasn't crying. She said she had a twelve year old in last week with a thumb out that was just bawling like a baby.

We were really bored by this point! Getting a little silly!

They X-Ray'd it and found that it was fractured right at the growth plate bone so they didn't want to touch it. SO.. they sent us to a Hand specialist. Yes another Specialist in 2 months.
He told us it was indeed broken and if we thought he could handle it (he gave us a look like it hurts like hell just so you know) he needed to re set it or he could do surgery in a couple of days. Tai got sort of panicked. They gave him a shot in his finger which made me cry. Then it was all numb. He came back and re set it in under 5 seconds and wrapped it up all nicely and told us if he bumps it he Will have to do it all again AND surgery to put a couple pins in. He will check it again in a week and put a hard cast on it. The are just concerned about this little finger cause its right on his growth plate and he is still growing. :)

Now Tai is banished to the X-Box room forever. :) Jk

He really is a tough kid. The only time he cried throughout the whole day was during the shot, and that shot looked mighty painful. It was in there a good 30 seconds. He still says it doesn't hurt yet.
I am so proud of this kid! He has been through a lot in two months. Good thing it happened this week and not last week or he wouldn't have been able to Swim in his meet. I Love this kid!!!

P.S. Kenzie's urine came back normal, so we still don't know what's wrong with her. But she's all fine and sassy normal today!! :)

I'm slowly catching up on the summer. I'm only a month behind.

Last week we went up to Yellowstone with Lance's whole family! Tai went up last year with Grandma and Grandpa so he was a pro at what to look for. He is the only one that saw a bear with Grandpa. :) Parker was so sure that a Bear was going to get him. He warmed up real fast and had a ball!!

First stop was old Faithful. Not as faithful as it used to be. :) But still entertaining!

Went on a few "hikes." This was to a geyser that burped sulphur over and over. Quite awesome to children!

A pipe broke at my mom's house, so Lance being the fix it guy that he loves to be decided to attack the project. So he dug 6ft down in the cold at night with his headlamp (one of his favorite birthday presents by the way) to find the blasted leak.

This was too long of a project for my liking. :)

What a mess!

After the leak was found and repaired. He asked the boys if they would help fill in the hole....

They didn't care to stay and help, but Kenzie did. She loves to help her daddy!! :)

Spring Break Week in Review!

Since we couldn't go to Disneyland like I wanted ;) We decided to stick around here with the rest of Utah and play with our kids. We spelled out Spring Break with an activity (or two or three) on each letter that starts with that letter. So everyday we picked two letters and just played our hearts out. It was a fun week, crowded at some places but fun!!

Conference, Gmas Birthday and Easter Weekend

We started off the weekend with my Grandma Lavon turning 80 years old! She is the cutest grandma ever!! I love her so much!! They had most of the kids and grandkids and great-grandkids over for cake. So much fun!!

Saturday was Conference Weekend! Was it just me or were they talking directly at me. :) J/k
We say this everytime, but it was sooo good! :)

You have to have the games of course! This one was Conference Connect 4. Actually turned out pretty fun.

It is so fun to have a child that can read and write and make valentines for you. Lance and Tai worked on these and Tai came up with all his own and did them for me.

It feels like this summer has zipped right by. We have done so many fun things. Lance and I still haven't caught up :)

Let's face it - most of you stalking this blog do the same thing on your blog - Brag about the greatness that occurs in your life. We're no different.

Tairen has turned into a little fish. Last year he could barely pass level 3 in swimming lessons. When he started this year he was in tears the first day because his teacher told him he had to swim 25 meters without stopping.

Now, he does this.

I think we as parents were more shocked and surprised than Tairen was that he finished in First Place in only his second meet of the year. Last meet his goggles came off when he dove in and he had to stop half way to clear the water out and finished 8th.

What you've missed-

I turned 29. Yay!! Besides the wonderful dinner my husband took me to, the actual day was kinda disappointing. I wished more of my friends remembered. : ( I know I'm 29 and shouldn't care but I did. hahaha

Makenzie turned ONE. She's walking and talking and getting into everything and bugging her brother on a daily basis and we love her to pieces. I'll have to have my sister post some pictures on her blog.

Tai did not win the contest :( Some girl who didn't know the words won. I guess she knew more people! : ) Thank you to all that voted for him.

My youngest brother Ross put in in his mission papers. Dun dun dun

My grandma had a heart attack and triple bypass surgery :( But she's doing great now!

My beautiful sister in law had another beautiful girl. And I got to watch her birth!

My other beautiful sister in law found out she was pregnant while the Dr's were about to take out her gall bladder. It was an ectopic pregnancy. :( She's doing good now. She REALLY wanted her gall bladder out!

Parker is still stubborn!!! : ) I am pulling out all the stops.....

We had another weird sickness a couple of weeks ago. I was at the Dr with Kenzie for two hours while they did every test for her 103.8 fever. They found nothing and she is fine now but we were both very sad that day.

I still am angry at the weather!! I need Sunshine!!!

Can't think of anything else at the moment, but there is always something!!

I need a good girls night out!!! Anyone up for one??? I miss people!!! : )

Lance has been out of town on business this whole week. And so it has been that every morning, I end up with 3 little monkeys in my bed with me. Don't get me wrong, I love to snuggle with all of them, but I am such a deep sleeper I have no when idea when they all make it into my bed until I wake up in pain and discomfort. :)

You know the routine-one leg in your kidney, one over your chest, arms around your neck, you are on the edge of YOUR OWN bed and all children are horizontal. You think one of them might actually be glued to you. I have actually been kicked in the chest.. Hard! Lance once got it somewhere else just as nice!

Well this morning, I awoke to Makenzie dumping/squirting her bottle all over my face!! I know it was all out of Love by the way she was laughing! : )

Smoking is stupid

My conversation with Tai on the way to school went something like this.

Tai: Mom Remember when I was 3 and there was that guy smoking at Pizza Hut all around those other people.

Me: I cant remember that. Why?

Tai: I was just thinking about it?

Me: What do you think about smoking Tai?

Tai: I think its stupid and Gross!

Me: Well what would you do if one of your friends asked you to smoke with them? What if it was your very best friend and he said your dumb and you can't be my friend unless you smoke this?

Tai: I would say I really want to be your friend, but I am not going to smoke. Its bad for you and will turn all your insides black.

Me: That makes me very happy to hear that.

Tai: Mom, what is Champagne? Is that Alcohol?

Me: Yes it is? Where did you learn about Champagne?

Tai: I don't remember.(they offered it to us when we got on the boat) If you drink Alcohol does it make you not be able to read?

Me: I don't know, maybe for some people. What do you mean?

Tai: Like if you drink and try to read the word THE, would it come out sounding like THEE?

Me: Well Alcohol, makes your brain really cloudy and you cant think clearly so maybe that's what it would do. : )

Tai: Hmmm

We talked a little longer about the examples and good people that are in our life, and what to do if it ever came up and we don't need that stuff. Tai just gets things.

That was our 7 minute drive to school this morning. I was just thinking and worrying last night about the future and having to deal with this. I had no idea when this was going to come up today. But I am so grateful for these little moments, to get into a glimpse of my children's eyes and to share how I feel about it. I think children are so amazing and are faced with so much in this sick world. I also think we may not give them or ourselves enough credit
I am just so happy to have such a smart kid on my hands.

Forever a Bulldog!

My dad Loves Provo high. He went to school there many years ago. He was born a bulldog and will die a bulldog. : ) So for his birthday today, we celebrated it one of his favorite ways, by going to the Provo High Championship Basketball Game.
Although they didn't win this year : ( We had a lot of fun!

Everyone is just really sad that they lost!

But its OK, it was still fun. They can lose every once in awhile I guess! : )

Happy Birthday to Trina Bean! This beautiful talented girl turns 20 today!!

Trina has so many talents. She sings VERY WELL, and has been on several cd's.
She plays the piano, golf, and pretty much any sport she tries.
She can hang with any of the guys at anything they are attempting.
She is the first one to start games and parties.
She has tons of friends, half of which are kids that ADORE her!
She's the first one to cry when anyone gets married. : )
She loves her Chili and Chips!!
And her Crunch Bars!
She is always trying and learning new things. If she wants to learn something, she does it over and over till she masters it. Lance beat her at Tetris and Dr. Mario years ago, so she played and played till she was good enough to beat him.
She is the easiest to buy for. Everyone always wants her name for Christmas. : )
She never talks bad about anyone and hates Confrontation.
She is VERY Oraganized. She has lists for everything.
She is very dilegent and True to her word.
She has the sweetest spirit. So much fun to be around!
And she is just so beautiful!! We love her!!

Mexico

We went on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera with all of my fabulous family. And although I stressed the ENTIRE time about having enough to do for my energy filled son and worried about Mexicans stealing my kids,falling off the boat : ) getting my kids to eat stuff other than ice cream, and losing my vision with the sea sick patch( I could not read anything)... We had a great time!!

You think he stayed here long??!!

Makenzie LOVED the Sand!!! She would just run her fingers through it over and over. I loved cleaning it out of her diaper hahaha

This guy was diving from 45ft high into 6 feet water. They would sit and wait and time it just right.

Our kids all did amazing.

Tai sang in the kid talent show in front of 100 + people which surprised me. He sang "All the small things" by Blink 182. I know we are such awesome parents! : ) He was awesome! He made some new friends, loved to sit in the hot tub with his little smoothie, (I have to find that picture) and never stopped going the entire week!!!

Parker who I was most worried about enjoyed every minute! He ate the best at every meal, was standing watching out the window when we flew, (i thought he would scream) played the longest in the sand, and was very obedient.

Our little Kenzie took everything in stride, like she always does. She often asked for her bed when we would get into our room, she was so pooped. She tried many a new foods, and got stopped by several people on the boat telling us she was just so darling! Which I always love!

As for Lance and I- we had lots of fun watching all the drunk people and taking care of all the money : ) but five people in our room for 7 days....we are ready for any offers on babysitters!!!

We are off, be back in a week!

Guess what!!! Its not over!! You know,the never ending weirdness of the evil sick monster that has hit our house. Tai just came running in from his room half asleep and puked all over he floor, steps away from the bathroom. I just sat there and watched and yelled ( not at him) NO NO NO, WHY WHY WHY!!???! Then I got tears in my eyes and almost started crying, followed by immediate laughing. Seriously!?! This cannot be happening!
Yesterday Lance was on the couch all day, couldn't move a muscle and Kenzie was up from 3:30-6:00 AM throwing up every 10 minutes. I am not making this up, we timed it.

We cant figure out what it is or how to get rid of it. I have washed everyones beds more than a dozen times, and have Lysoled every inch of our house. Not exaggerating there either. I am going CRAZY!!! You want to know the last time no one was sick at our house? January 13th. That's right almost a whole month.
I haven't gotten any of it which means I probably will this coming weekend when I am supposed to be enjoying the glorious sunshine of Mexico!!!

I apologise for those visitors who have come to say hi or get help with Taxes. I am deeply sorry if you get sick. I have assumed week after week that we are in the clear, but nooooooooooo. Such luck hasn't come our way! : )

Anyways, thanks for letting me vent! I have needed someone to talk to! : ) Now excuse me while I go start my #47 load of laundry of PUKE FEST 2009.

Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired!

When you are stuck at home with 3 sick kids for a two week period there is generally nothing exciting to blog about. We have been quarantined to our little space for 2 weeks.
Tai started it off with puking in the middle of the night, then Kenzie got it and finally Parker. In between that, Kenzie got pink eye with goopey eyes that were swollen shut every morning. It moved to the next eye also. We took her in to the doc and she had double ear infections. Every other day she would still be throwing up. Now she is finally better and its Parker's turn to be tortured by the drops. Let me tell you how fun it is to be woken up by a blood curdling scream from a 3 year old cause he thinks he's gone blind.

We need a vacation!!! Good thing we are out of here in 2 weeks. Now if I can keep my kids healthy till then so I can spend my time puking on a boat!!!

My dad likes to drop by and surprise us with treats. He ALWAYS has a treat for us. Sometimes its candy, doughnuts and even pudding! Well the other day it was Oreo cookies!! My boys LOVE Oreo's and now apparently so does Makenzie!

Wow what is this new, delicious, wonderful treat my parents have never given me!

"What's wrong with a little chocolate?" He asked "You were chewing on a steak and eating M&M's at 6 weeks old." (and actually I believe him ) haha

Two hours later she was screaming from the sugar rush!! But she sure enjoyed it at the time! Oh well! What are Grandparents for!!

Sleeping Boys

Lance usually puts the boys to bed everynight. They actually prefer him over me. : ) After a page of Waldo searching and an hour or more later, I have to go in and wake up Lance to come to his own bed. This is how I find my sleeping boys!

It doesnt look at all comfortable, but I guess thats why when they climb in bed with us, they are on Lance's side smashed up against him. That's why they prefer him, I can't handle the smashing, sprawling, kicking etc : ) He takes it all! What a wonderful daddy!!!

This past weekend we celebrated Parker's 3rd birthday! He's not a big fan of attention, so we had two small family parties.

He loved all his presents! Thank you everyone!

We went to see Madagascar 2 since he loved the 1st one so much!

He sat through almost all of it. Even Makenzie lasted till the very end. She even laughed a couple of times. Not sure at what though. Probably just cause her brothers were laughing.

Gingerbread houses and Lost teeth!

For family night we decorated a gingerbread house. I love the pre made ones that has EVERYTHING in it ready to go. It was great!! I let the boys do it all by themselves. Not too bad of job I'd say!!!

Tai lost his first tooth. Last week after Primary he came home telling us his tooth was loose, and then yesterday he lost it in front of his whole class at school. Leave it to Tai to make it a big deal in front of everyone haha. The tooth fairy was very generous! He said he wants to write on his dollar; To Tai, Love the Tooth Fairy and he never wants to spend it cause its a very special dollar!! : )

I was in the other room folding clothes and I heard my sweet little 8 month old laughing hysterically. I went in to find Parker dumping out 2 water bottles all over. She thought it was hilarious! I guess she's the perfect audience. She thinks her brothers are the greatest, funniest humans alive, so they will do anything to get the reaction. I think I'm in trouble. Pray for me!! : ) haha

We carved pumpkins last night - and Tairen wanted to do a U-ear after we did a Y-ear, so this is how it turned out. He didn't much like grabbing the pumpkin seeds - and even turned his head away like he was going to gag if he looked at it. It's all Kristi can do not to kick her foot through that U every time she walks by it. She felt much better after we moved it to the other side of the porch so the U is now facing the wall. The Dentist

I had to have another root canal about a month ago, which was no big deal. My previous two root canals I had no pain at all after, and this one was the same (but I should probably do something with my Lortab prescriptions instead of throwing them away). So Tuesday I went back to get the crown fitting - and I didn't have any worries because the last two fittings were no problems and my teeth have been great.

Hopped up on the gas, the dentist comes in to deaden my mouth and I have to stop him because he almost deadens the wrong side of my mouth. So the fitting goes fine, I go back to work, the numb wears off.....almost. My tongue is still tingly. One, two, five hours after work my tongue is still tingly. When I eat, I can only taste what I am eating on the edge of the right side of my tongue - maybe a centimeter of my tongue can taste. I figure I'll go to bed and see what tomorrow brings.

Yesterday, still tingly and no taste. Lunchtime, still tingly and no taste. So I call the dentist and have a chat with him. Because they don't know exactly where the nerve is, there is always a chance they can hit the nerve when they do an injection. I can live with that. When they do hit the nerve, the tongue will usually be numb and tingly for 2-3 months. As for tasting my food, that should come back fully in 6-8 months. He said he has had 3-4 patients with the same thing, and all of them recovered fully. I even did some web searching and about 1 in 700,000 have permanent damage.

My point in telling you this is not to freak you out so you don't want to go to the dentist any more. (Although, money may help me feel a little better about not being able to taste anything) Just brush, floss, and rinse with a fluoride rinse regularly. That way you can avoid cavities, minimize fillings, reduce the chances you'll ever need a root call, and shouldn't have to have a super-dose of local anesthesia that might rob you of 95% of the enjoyment of eating food.

Sorry if this leaves a wierd taste in your mouth. There's not one in mine. -Lance-

8 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

8 Years ago today Lance and I were married! It has been the best 8 years of my life! I don't have any pictures on my computer from our wedding cause it was so long ago haha It was a perfect day and the only thing that went wrong is that our cake fell over in the middle of our reception. I didn't care! And Lance was so nervous our wedding night, he got so mad at everyone who trashed our car. That anger didn't last long! : )
But here are a few things about us that maybe you do or don't know!!!

We both Hate Cheesecake and The Pizza Factory, and We LOVE Tepanyaki, Outback, Goodwood, Joe Vera's, Chef's Table
We made a commitment when we were dating that we would never watch any more Rated R movies and we haven't since!
We both love to people watch when we go out. We like to see who's out on a first date!
We had sleepovers together, before we even kissed : ) (we fell asleep people)
We both love playing golf
We both Love BYU Football, and any football for that matter!!!
When Lance proposed at Delicate Arch, there was a crowd of people there that thought we were a couple of teenagers just fooling around.
We both have a little case of road rage! : )
We honestly have never raised our voice at each other or said hurtful things to each other.
After the kids are in bed, we like to eat Ice cream, Cookies and Treats together.
I have never made breakfast. Lance makes a big one every weekend!!
Lance would rather die than eat Mac n Cheese. I feel the same about fish and elk!! : )
I am an extreme night owl, Lance is a morning person.
We are still Very Hot and Steamy!! : ) : ) No more details needed!!!!
Lance ALWAYS kisses me goodbye, morning and night. He didn't once a few years ago and it ruined my whole day. He didn't want to wake me up!!!
He can honestly read my mind!!! EVERYTIME I am thinking about a treat or something he brings it home to me.
We both can't roller skate to save our lives!
We both LOVE our KIDS to pieces. But who doesn't feel that way about their own!!!
We both would do ANYTHING in this world for our family and friends.
And we both agree that we are quite blessed and lucky to have what we have and there is no one else we would rather be with than each other! I Can't wait for the next 60 years!!!

Flaming Gorge/Lamb Reunion

Over the 24th of July weekend we went to Flaming Gorge for the Lamb Reunion. We had a blast! Dinosaur watching, cousin playing, river rafting, lizard catching, rock throwing, smore eating, cliff jumping, sponge fighting, dam touring, late night screaming, good eating. It was a blast!

Tairen's Antics

This is Lance with a really quick post. The other day I took Tairen along to help Katie clean the townhouse they will be renting. About an hour and a half into it, after he had vacuumed all the edges in the one room and wiped all the rails with a Clorox wipe, I asked him to wipe all the base boards in the living room. His reply?

"Dad, I didn't really come to help clean."

Good to know, son. Good to know.

We had a fun day playing at Deer Creek last Saturday! Parker found his spot in the sand. Makenzie was a great, happy baby as usual. Tai decided after a couple runs that he loved the boats and took me out with just him and I to do some tricks. I let him drive and he proceded to make me seasick! He thought it was hilarious and I about fed the fish on the way back in. : ) Here are a few pics, but none of me thank you!

Nuttall Swim Party/Reunion

My sweet Uncle Reed and Aunt Karen from Illinois were here for two weeks, and they reserved the Country Club pool on Friday for a private family party! It was sooo much fun! Here is my little fish!

My sister Traci had her baby yesterday!

Taylei Nevaeh Glick was born on Wednesday July 9th!
Weighing in at 6lbs 11oz and 19 inches long. Traci did awesome through delivery as is doing great now!!!

I think she looks a lot like her daddy! But if you stare at her long enough she looks like Traci! She's a good mix! Who do you think she looks like?
Tony absolutely loves his baby girl! He loves to just sit and watch her!

4th of July

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. And also one of the longest days ever! Its the one day a year ( besides Christmas) that I will willingly wake up without a fight! Our day starts at 5:30 am ( 4:30 for Lance, he went and found us a spot) and ends at about 1:30 am. ( thanks Ross for keeping us up that late : ) Our sweet Parker has Not liked loud noises since he was born! He has sensitive ears!

I was tagged by Melissa, and I thought this looked fun! This is a little bit about me. For a fun twist I had Lance answer some of these about me. It was interesting and entertaining. Camping

This past weekend we went camping with my Dad up to Wasatch in Midway! My family has gone camping every year for as long as I can remember. But this isn't just normal camping. Its pack as much fun in as we can! And we had no problem doing so.

We went to Park City and rode the Alpine Slides. It was freezing so no one was there. We got right on, no waiting, and rode right down!
I couldn't go fast enough for Tai!

The whole way down, Parker had his arms up yelling "To Infinity and Beyond" He is a little obsessed with Buzz and Woody right now.

I gave up on rules with eating when we camp. So this is Parker eating Nerds candy for breakfast.

Makenzie was sooo good the entire time. All 3 kids slept through the night all 3 nights. It was freezing cold, but we had a space heater and snuggly sleeper jammies. She fell asleep around 10 and would sleep till 5 or 6. She woke up so happy every morning. I told Lance I was afraid we would have to live in in a tent on the mountains just so our kids would sleep good.

It was cold and rainy on Sat so we went into Heber and had our first bowling tournament. Dad, Lance and Tony really got into it and picked teams. This is Tai's first STRIKE!!!

This means Strike, in case you didn't know : )

After we all bowled 2 games. Lance, Tony, Chad, Ross and Jonathan had a game of their own. It was so fun to watch. ALL of them either hit a spare or strike everytime. But as you can see, my hubby beat them all!

Makenzie just chillin wherever she was dragged to. Doesn't she look thrilled to be there!

Wasatch golf course is one of our favorite courses, and about a minute away from where we were camping, so a bunch of us woke up bright and early and played 18. Tai and I only lasted 9 holes but it was still fun. It was freezing cold up in those mountains!

These four have had an ongoing scramble for over a year now. Lance and Chad just keep beating them, so it never ends. Tony and Ross cant stand too lose! I think its hilarious!!

They are all so good, and fun to watch!

My little athletic boy! Finally old enough to go with the guys. Still a little hard to stay quiet when someone is hitting, but what do you expect from a boy like Tai!!

It was freezing cold and Dad's tent got soaked in the rain, we had too much food, and hyper kids hopped up on sugar, but how much fun is it to make all those memories!? My Dad is the best and always makes sure his kids have a good time. I have a million of those great memories, and I hope I don't get too burnt out to make some more for my kids.

What's wrong with these 2 pictures?? Well, I'll tell you.... Lance fell asleep in Parker's bed. I fell asleep on the couch and Tai snuck into our room and fell asleep all warm and cozy in a nice big bed all to himself!!!!

My youngest brother Ross graduated from Provo High today. And we are so very happy! : ) He is my parents last child to graduate (of 7 kids) and they couldn't be more thrilled! :D So what does the future hold? Architecture perhaps??? Maybe.....

Brief Update from Lance

It's been three days, and I have cooled down considerably (literally, because I rode the scooter to work this morning in the brisk 54 degree air).

I really wonder if I'm not better off than my co-worker. His car was hit as well, but only his left rear tail light (totally smashed in, I should say). He has full coverage and owes about $2000 on his car. Because he has full coverage, he has to pay his $1000 deductible, the insurance company HAD to do an estimate and officially total the vehicle, and he will be lucky to get $2000 in pocket to try and buy another car ($5000 car value, less $2000 still owed, less $1000 deductible). He does have the insurance company helping him try to recover the $1000 deductible from the poor female driver who hit our cars, but that doesn't make it any easier to get pennies from a dry wishing well.

I have my car, all banged up, but the insurance company hasn't stamped a "total loss" statement on the car. As you can see from the pictures, the front bumper is gone, but it's in the back seat of my car and can likely be reattached without problems. The left fender needs to be replaced, but that takes six or seven bolts and a used piece from the junkyard. My driver door still opens and closes fine. Chances are, after the left rear tire is removed and isn't jamming the back door closed, that that door may work again as well. The biggest problem is going to be getting the knuckle, control arms, and whatever other parts are needed to get the left rear wheel back where it is supposed to be. The hood pops up perfectly, the entire engine compartment is perfectly intact. Even the windshield washers still spray. I may need some connectors for some of the lights, a turn signal on the left side, and some duct tape and bailing wire, but I honestly think that the car will drive again.

If you know me, my motto has always been, if the engine and transmission are in great shape, I could care less what is wrapped around them. So until I have the time and energy to visit 5-10 junkyards (with the help of an experienced brother-in-law and his dad) and get my sweet Honda back on four turning wheels, my nips will be cold on days like this - and sweating profusely in the late afternoon heat of July. And with luck, I won't be out the $1000 deductible I would have been with full coverage.

Can't catch a break.

Pictures from the "wreck"Sorry if anyone was offended by the last post. Lance has actually taken it better than me. : ) The whole situation stinks big time. We are very sorry for the lady that has added more problems for herself and her family. She definitely has a harder life than we do, and we feel bad for her. We have also counted all of our other many blessing we have. We are just frustrated by the whole thing. She broke about 7 laws by driving the car (had an order against her that she wasn't supposed to be driving the car, it wasn't even hers) among others, (no driver's license). Now WE just have to eat it and take the loss of it. Seriously what are the chances you get hit parked on the side of the road.

About an hour after Lance got to work, his boss, who's window faces the street, heard a crash and said "Lance isn't that your car?" The lady then tried to leave the scene, Lance started running out after her while he called the cops on his cell. She hit our car so hard that it moved an entire car length, while the parking brake was on. The back left tire was jammed back into the well, then she slid along the side and hit the front left and Lance's co-worker's car. They will prob have to total it. We don't know yet. The cops told us we aren't going to get anything from this person, or the owner of the car, they both have a looong list of issues.

So what now? We don't know actually. But life bites sometimes.

1. Don't park your car anywhere near the road. Park in the bushes, in your back yard, in the church parking lot, in a dark alley, or in the reserved for employees parking garage behind your work instead of on the street in front of your work

2. SERIOUSLY weigh this though out in your mind ---- If some blankety blankety blankety blankety blankety blank woman with no insurance, five kids, a history of drug problems, a baby on the way, who just got evicted and is on her way down to try to get on WIC, Welfare, Housing support, and Medicaid has her brake rotor lock up and smashes the entire left side of your car to the point it is not drivable, doing more damage to your car than her own, and has to have someone come and take her toddler home because she is not fit to remain with the child after having had the accident, can you afford to have not paid the $30 extra per month over the last 36 months ($1080 for you who don't want to do the math) and instead have to eat the cost of losing your car? Really? You can? Hmmm...

Since we've added Makenzie, all of you still tell us she looks like one or the other brothers, or one or the other parents - so here's a little photo I spliced together. Each picture is in the first three days for each of them, so it is cool to compare them side by side. They aren't perfectly comparable, and like it's hard to tell which one is Makenzie. Just being bored on a Sunday afternoon so I wanted to entertain myself.

*On Thursday night, we went to the Byu baseball game with our friends, the McLeans. The kids had fun playing on the stairs, annoying everyone around them. : )We didn't get to stay long on account of the 2 two year old's that were done early. But it was still fun to be there. I didn't get many pictures, because none of them would hold still for 2 seconds. Tai always enjoying himself!
*Friday night was the weekly softball game with the Lamb cousins. The other team forfeited so they played for fun and let Tai hit a few. He hit it out pretty far and got all the way home!! : ) : )

Get massages everyday. Help anyone in our families get out of debt, and give some extra for fun.: ) Big house. Buy places all over the world to stay in and travel too. Buy lots of clothes.

I went into the living room the other night around 1:00 to find Lance like this on the couch. He was on his way to bed, trying to get there, but just couldn't make it! :) I was laughing really loud and he still didn't wake up : )
The bottom one is 20 min later. I think his mom has some pictures similar to this when he was in high school, asleep on top of his textbooks : ) I just love this guy!!!!!
